Der Vortrag „Kardiologischer Fall: 17-jähriger Mann mit Bluthochdruck“ von Joseph Alpert, MD ist Bestandteil des Kurses „Kardiovaskuläre Fallbeispiele“.
A 17-year-old student and football player is referred to your primary care office for evaluation of high blood pressure. During an annual check-up, he was noted to have an arterial blood pressure of 155/90 mm Hg without presenting symptoms. On physical examination, his blood pressure is 152/94 mm Hg, and his heart rate is 59 beats/min. On auscultation, a systolic ejection murmur is heard over the spine between the shoulder blades. Of note is that his femoral pulses are not well felt. His laboratory test results are normal; however, an ECG indicates left ventricular hypertrophy, and a chest x-ray indicates rib notching. Which of the following is the most likely diagnosis?
